FAQs
How soon can we see you?
We can usually see patients within 24 - 48 hours. Sometimes same-day appointments are available. We also operate a cancellation list so you could be contacted sooner if an earlier appointment becomes available. Our friendly receptionists will arrange your appointment for you and answer any questions you may have.
Will I be treated during my first consultation?
Yes. Initial consultation includes patient registration, subjective and objective examination, initial treatment and appropriate advice and patient treatment planning. Patient treatment planning will give you a good indication of the number of treatment sessions you are likely to require and the initial and progressive exercises that will be needed.
Will I be given exercises?
Yes. We will always give advice on the management of conditions and appropriate exercises to do in between treatments to optimise the recovery process. Tailor made exercise sheets are also given for you to take home.
Can I refer myself?
Yes. You can make an appointment without a referral from your GP.
I have Private Medical Insurance - am I covered with you?
Yes. We are recognised by all the major insurance companies. You will need to check with your insurance company prior to treatment, as some companies require a referral from a Doctor beforehand.
May I know your payment terms?
Yes. Payment is made after each consultation either by cheque or cash. Receipts are available for health insurance companies.
Do you know how many treatments I will need?
Yes. Although we do not have a set number of treatments for any condition - each patient is an individual. However, following your first appointment the Physiotherapist will discuss the anticipated number of treatments. You will be reassessed on each visit.
Will I be expected to do anything in between treatments?
Yes, yes, yes!!! We will always give advice on the management of conditions and appropriate exercises to do in between treatments to optimize the recovery process. Tailor made exercise sheets are available for you to take home.
Can I have a Home Visit?
Yes. Sometimes it is necessary to visit patients at home but this is usually only required after surgery or if a patient is housebound and unable to travel. The cost of a Home Visit has to include travel time from the clinic and so this does increase the cost of treatment. Please telephone for more details.
